What type of property is governed by UH property management-related policies/procedures?

Two basic types, or categories, of property are governed by UH's property management-related policies/procedures.

First-Capital assets which are defined as possessions that have a single unit value of $5,000 or greater and an estimated useful life of more than one year.

Second-Controlled assets which are defined as assets that the State Comptroller's office determines must be secured and tracked due to the nature of the items.
