How can I see my mail in both Mail.uh.edu and my email client without being removed from Mail.uh.edu online?

Every time your email is checked in your client software, the default set-up moves it from the Mail.uh.edu server and puts it in your client (such as Outlook or Outlook Express). To change the default set-up, see below:

Outlook 2003/Outlook XP
1. Click on Tools, Email Accounts, View or change existing e-mail accounts.
2. Click Next.
3. Click Change, then More Settings.
4. On the Advanced tab, make sure 'Leave copy of messages on server' is checked.
5. Also under this option, you can choose to remove the mail from the server after a certain number of days or remove from the server when deleted from Outlook 2003/XP. This is a good way of managing your mail quota.

Outlook 2000/Outlook Express
1. Click on Tools, Accounts, and Properties for your mail account.
2. On the Advanced tab, make sure 'Leave a copy of message on server' is checked.
3. Also under this option, you can choose to remove the mail from the server after a certain number of days or remove from the server when deleted from Outlook 2000/Outlook Express. This is a good way of managing your mail quota.

Eudora
1. Click on Tools and Options.
2. Click on Incoming mail.
3. Check 'Leave mail on server.'
4. Also under this option, you can choose to remove the mail from the server after a certain number of days or remove from the server when emptying the Trash in Eudora.
