The grade earned in MATH 1300, ENGL 1300, or READ 1300 will not affect your UH GPA. The developmental courses are graded as Satisfactory/Unsatisfactory/In Progress. They are designed to prepare you for college-level work and do not carry any credit that applies toward your degree. But each course does count for 3 hours credit toward your enrollment hours in the semester you take it. So if you take ENGL 1300 (or MATH 1300 or READ 1300) plus three college level 3-hour courses, you will be considered a full-time student for purposes of financial aid, insurance, etc.
