Can I purchase books using my financial aid awards?

In order to purchase your books using your financial aid, you must wait until after your aid disburses to use the funds. If after your financial aid pays everything you owe the university (for tuition, fees, housing) there is still financial aid money left, those funds will go to your Higher One refund preference. You can then use this money to pay for books or any other school expenses.

If you have not selected an electronic refund preference at cougarone.com, a paper check will be mailed after 21 business days. Read more about your refund preference options on the Refund FAQs web page.

You also have the option of taking out a book loan. The book loan is available in your myUH accout under Optional Fees. Read more about the Book Loan on the Payment Plan web page.
