How do I connect my Google Pixel to UHSecure?

You will need to install the correct CA certificate before you can connect to the UHSecure network. First, start by downloading the attached file onto your phone.

Note: You may receive a prompt that says 'The certificate is not installed.' The file will the still be downloaded to your device.


Once you have the file downloaded, please follow the following instructions:


  1. Open your phone's Settings app.
  2. Tap Security > Advanced settings > Encryption & credentials.
  3. Tap Install a certificate > CA certificate.
  4. Choose install anyway on the prompt.
  5. You will be asked to enter your phone pin. If you haven't already set a PIN, pattern, or password for your phone, you'll be asked to set one up.
  6. In the top left, tap Menu .
  7. Tap where you saved the certificate.
  8. Tap the file named 'DigiCert-Intermediate-CA-1.crt'.
  9. Your certificate will now be installed.


Once the certificate is installed, enter the following information for the UHSecure network:


  • EAP Method: PEAP
  • Phase2: MSCHAPV2
  • CA certificate: Use System Certificates
  • Identity: [cougarnet user name]
  • Anonymous identity: leave blank
  • Password: [cougarnet password]
  • Domain: uh.edu
