My email seems to take a long time to send and receive - how can I fix this?

Turn on Cached Exchange Mode:

  1. File -> Account Settings  -> Account Settings  -> Click on the account to update  -> Change
  2. Mark the Use Cached Exchange Mode 
  3. Click Next
  4. Click OK  -> Finish
  5. Close Outlook and open it back up.
