CougarNet account lockouts occur for one of the following reasons:
- You attempted to login with your CougarNet account using the wrong password.
- An old CougarNet password might be stored in by your mobile device, service, program or a website to authenticate you to CougarNet, but the stored password is not your current password.
After multiple unsuccessful login attempts by either of these, your CougarNet account will be locked for 5 minutes.
