I'm having trouble logging in with my CougarNet account password.

There are several reasons why your CougarNet account password may not work:

  1. Your account may be locked. The CougarNet system will lock your account if you attempt to login with a failed password multiple times. To unlock the account, simply do not login to your account for 5 minutes and it will unlock on its own. If you are still unable to login to your account after the full 5 minutes, please contact the Help Desk at 713-743-1411 or Chat with them to report your problem.
  2. Your account password may be expired.The CougarNet account passwords expires every 180 days.If it has expired, use the CougarNet Password Wizard site to reset your password.
  3. Your account may be disabled. If you are a current student, staff, or faculty, you may contact the Help Desk to have your account re-enabled again. Please contact the Help Desk at 713-743-1411 or Chat with them to report your problem.
