During a DAT update, you may see the following message in the Update in Progress window:

Updates were not applied because packages were not in the repository: VSCANCEU1000, EXTRADAT1000, BOCVSE__1000, VIRUSCAN8700

This is NOT an error message. Rather AutoUpdate is reporting that some files were not present in the repository and could not be downloaded. It does not mean that the DAT update itself has failed.

An update is successful if you see "Downloading DAT" and then "Update succeeded to version..." in the Progress window. The new date and DAT version number will also be displayed in the About window (right-click the VShield icon and select About VirusScan).
