How do I enable Windows Firewall or Internet Connection Firewall in Microsoft Windows XP?

Begin by determining which version of Windows XP you are currently running:

1. Either from the desktop or from the Start Menu, right-click on My Computer.
2. Click on Properties.
3. Under the General tab, it will state either "Service Pack 3," "Service Pack 2," "Service Pack 1," or neither will be displayed.
(If neither is displayed, then you are currently running an earlier version of Windows XP.)
