How do I reassign an incident?

1. Change the "Assigned" field according to the desires of the receiving department. (See list below.) If one of your people has been working with someone in a specific area of the target department, don't just assume the incident should be reassigned to them directly. *Do* use the "note" function in the incident console to provide that information to the target department.

2. Change the "Product" to reflect the target department, otherwise the incident may well not be visible to anyone from that department.

3. Click the "Details" tab and change the mailbox to reflect the target department.

When no name is specified, select "No Value" from the name list.
