Why does my browser freeze after accepting Java certificates in Blackboard?

To resolve this issue for individual affected users, choose to always trust Java certificates for Blackboard and restart the browser.

Sample steps:

1. Log in to Blackboard. After a few moments, one or more "Warning - Security" pop-up windows may display with the message "The application's digital signature has been verified. Do you want to run the application?"

2. Make sure the option to "Always trust content from this publisher" is selected.

3. Click Run.

4. If the browser freezes, manually shut down the browser using the Task Manager (in Windows, hold the Ctrl-Alt-Del keys, select Task Manager, select the Applications tab, select the Blackboard entry, and select End Process).

5. Restart the browser and log into Blackboard again. The "Warning - Security" pop-up window should not display. Proceed to access Blackboard normally.
