Why does my computer shut down when I try to access the UH wireless network?

One possible answer is the Microsoft update "815485:WPA Wireless Security Update" is not compatible with the university's wireless network. This update could prevent access to the wireless network or shut down your computer. To uninstall the update, go to Start (on the desktop taskbar), choose Control Panel and then choose Add-Remove Programs. Check to see if the Windows 2000 hotfix - KB815485 or Windows XP hotfix - KB815485 is listed and choose remove to remove it.
